Terms of use
These terms apply to appyl.ai and the Appyl app at app.appyl.ai (“Appyl”, “we”). By creating an account or using Appyl, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Appyl. Questions: appyldotai@gmail.com.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to use Appyl.
- Give us an email address you control and keep access to it; it’s how you sign in.
- You’re responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
Your content
“Your content” is what you put into Appyl: your resume, profile, links, connected repositories, notes, and the documents and messages you create.
- You own your content. We don’t claim ownership of it.
- You give us permission to store, process, and transform your content only to run Appyl for you: building your profile, matching jobs, tailoring documents, and writing messages. This permission ends when you delete your content or your account, except for backups that roll off as described in our privacy policy.
- You confirm you have the right to share what you upload, and that it’s accurate to the best of your knowledge.
AI-generated suggestions
Appyl uses AI to suggest resume changes, cover letters, and outreach messages. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete.
- Review everything before you use it. Nothing goes into your documents until you keep it, and you’re responsible for what you send to employers.
- Don’t use Appyl to misrepresent your experience, qualifications, or identity.
Jobs, contacts, and outreach
- Job postings come from public sources. We check them for quality, but we don’t control or guarantee them. A posting may be outdated, inaccurate, or already filled.
- Contact suggestions are based on public professional information and may be wrong. Treat them as leads, not facts.
- You send outreach messages yourself. Follow the law and basic courtesy: no spam, no harassment, and stop when someone asks you to.
- Appyl doesn’t guarantee interviews, offers, or any outcome of your job search.
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Break the law or anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
- Scrape, copy, or resell Appyl’s job data, matching results, or software.
- Interfere with Appyl’s security or performance, or try to access other people’s accounts or data.
- Use automated tools to create accounts or use Appyl at volumes a person wouldn’t.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Third-party services
Appyl connects to services you choose, such as GitHub and LinkedIn, and links to job postings on other sites. Their own terms apply, and we’re not responsible for them.
Changes and availability
We’re improving Appyl constantly. Features may change or be removed, and Appyl may occasionally be unavailable. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell signed-in users before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Appyl after that means you accept the new terms.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may close your account if you break these terms or if we stop offering Appyl, and we’ll give you notice where we reasonably can so you can download your documents.
Disclaimers and liability
Appyl is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost job opportunities or lost earnings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
